The Jewish Day School Belief Statements:
Today, we are planting the seeds for a Jewish future. To
this end, we believe:
- We must meet the unique learning needs of each student.
- Home, school, and community must serve and support one
another.
- Learning requires a healthy, safe, and nurturing
environment.
- Students deserve highly qualified and well-accomplished
teachers.
- A challenging curriculum based on high standards
is essential.
- Creative and critical thinking, intellectual
curiosity and a love for learning are major objectives.
- We must challenge our children to achieve their potential.
The Jewish Day School aspires for its students:
- To have an enthusiasm for learning
- To develop a broad
and strong base of knowledge and skills
- To think and
act with competence, objectivity and creativity
- To, through
their experience of living in a learning community, show
respect and sensitivity to others
- To show a capacity
to lead, to share and to co-operate with others
