OUR BELIEF STATEMENTS

The Jewish Day School Belief Statements:
Today, we are planting the seeds for a Jewish future. To this end, we believe:

  • We must meet the unique learning needs of each student.
  • Home, school, and community must serve and support one another.
  • Learning requires a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment.
  • Students deserve highly qualified and well-accomplished teachers.
  • A challenging curriculum based on high standards is essential.
  • Creative and critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and a love for learning are major objectives.
  • We must challenge our children to achieve their potential.

The Jewish Day School aspires for its students:

  • To have an enthusiasm for learning
  • To develop a broad and strong base of knowledge and skills
  • To think and act with competence, objectivity and creativity
  • To, through their experience of living in a learning community, show respect and sensitivity to others
  • To show a capacity to lead, to share and to co-operate with others
  • To accept responsibility and discipline
  • To find reward in participating and doing one's best
