Our Meaningful And Enriching Judaic Program The Jewish Day School of the Lehigh Valley is a community school, meaning that we offer a skills-oriented, culturally-rich Judaics and Hebrew language program that serves Jewish children of all affiliations, backgrounds and beliefs. We offer early bilingual studies, teaching our children to recognize and write Hebrew characters and to decode words and sentences. Our early grades make use of the Tal Am program to strengthen their Hebrew skills. Our students learn Hebrew literature, and develop their conversational Hebrew. Our Judaics curriculum encourages our children to celebrate traditional Jewish culture, such as Shabbat, holidays and prayers. We introduce our students to the classic Jewish texts, including the Siddur and Tanach. Our entire program is presented with an approach that is sensitive to the diversity of our student body, and we develop in all of our students a respectful approach to the many different ways in which Jews practice Judaism. Students at the Jewish Day School of the Lehigh Valley are afforded a stellar Jewish educational experience. The Jewish Day School of the Lehigh Valley uses a "ladder approach" to building a solid education, meaning each year builds upon what was learned the previous year. Our small class sizes and individualized attention allow teachers to meet the needs and abilities of our students and tailor educational programs and curricula as appropriate.
