Introduction of Gemara for next year's 7th and 8th graders who will attend Jewish high schools and also emphasis on Chumash and Rashi and preparation for BJE exam for Jewish High School majors. Daily prayers include Shacharit in all grades and Mincha in middle school as well as appropriate blessings for foods and for special occasions in all grades. Commemorative celebrations in grades one and two for the receiving of the Siddur and Chumash. Celebration/ commemoration of all Jewish special days including: Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh. Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Shmini Atzeret, Simchat Torah, Chanukah, TuB’Shvat, Purim. Pesach, Yom Hashoah, Yom Hazikaron, Yom Haatzmaut, Lag B'Omer, Yom Yerushalayim. Shavuot, as well as fast days, and days of mourning-Tzom Gedalyah, Asarah B'Tevet, Taanit Esther, days of the Omer. |
