Dr. Joseph Ringel

Joseph Ringer, a Fulbright Scholar, pursued study of history and rabbinics at Yeshiva University where he received his BA and MA. He then earned his PhD in Middle Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University, following which he won a Fulbright Fellowship in Jewish education in Israel. He was then a Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting Assistant Professor at Northwestern University. Joseph has now returned home to be the Judaics instructor for elementary and middle school at his alma mater, the JDS, while he works on writing his book on Sephardic Religious Identity in Israel.
